The Backfires Releases “Consider The Backfires”.

Consider The Backfires is the debut EP of The Backfires, a great indie rock band formed by three members, Alex, the frontman and lead vocals, Harry, the guitarist and Matt, the bassist.
One of the interesting things about this band, besides obviously their music, that I personally like a lot (well, I’m a great fan of Artic Monkeys and listening on their EP I feel a lot of Artic Monkeys vibes and influences), is the fact that they are from New York. And London. Yep both sides of Atlantic Ocean! It’s amazing how they managed that, surely hasn’t been easy with the fact that they are 3,461.34 miles apart. Especially during a pandemic!
Whatever, besides that, let’s talk about the EP. Consider The Backfires the debut EP of the band released in February 2021 anticipated by the singles “Anything” and “The Man” released respectively on October 16th , 2020 and on November 13th , 2020 and that have obtained a success on Spotify (more than 80k streams added together).
Well, a really good EP, if you like Indie Rock influenced by Artic Monkeys, The Strokes and Catfish and the Bottlemen, here we are, this is the perfect band for you.
The EP is about the experience of being a 19 year old American guy living in London. My favourite songs of the EP are “The Man” and “Before the Sunrise” in which we can listen on the musical characteristic features of the band: guitar driven energy, echoing basses and reflective lyrics.
I like this EP, a lot.
