Geekd Releases “Hikikomori”.

“Welcome to my little world.” -- Geekd “Hikikomori” 

Revelation of a wail under the skin turns into a spectacular stimulation of sentience. Geekd, a psychedelic rock project led by Chicago artist/musician and multi-instrumentalist, Christian Moreno, is bringing us another audible feast with “Hikikomori.” As the third track from his debut EP The Fairytale Starlight, “Hikikomori” sends out a hospitality invitation to all guests, “welcome to my little world.” 

As an informative enthusiast of alternative, grunge, indie rock, and a dedicated shredder, “Hikikomori” has the familiar reminiscence of bands like Alice in Wonderland, Nirvana, as well as Pink Floyd.  

“Hikikomiro” uncovers quirks and misfit with a touch of innocence and of hopeless optimists, which is massively relatable in the current world. ‘Take my hand and take a whirl, my sweet sunshine you’ll see in time,’ in contrast of ‘I see them living the good time (won’t you take me), they’re feeling good but where am I? (turn me turn me on),’ crying into a distorted, blistering psychedelic release. 

Then it comes the giddy aftermath, or the silence before the storm?
