England based artist Conrad Ashton is known for telling truthful and heartwarming stories through his tunes. He’s only released two singles so far, but the singer/songwriter just put out his newest song, titled “Time”. Check out our chat below.

How did you discover your passion for music?

It just happened really I always enjoyed music as a child and was played it repeatedly which was mint. My parents are massive music fans and into everything between them from Elvis to ABBA to The Beatles and Pertula Clark haha so I got a wide range growing up and loved whatever they played usually!

“Time” is your third release, what makes the song so special to you?

It has been a long time coming that’s the thing I lost so much money on my last release ‘Anna Jean’ I was in a minimum wage job when that came out and it was hard getting that money back. I trusted the wrong people and chucked thousands away literally. There was positives from it though the artwork from Alex Close was marvellous and he is my go to now on everything  marketing/branding/filming/photography and everything else graphic design related even PR. And Blast recording in Newcastle with Stuart Campbell I have never been so impressed with a studio and producer so that formula was used with the recording of this song too and will be moving forward.

You’ve also been covering songs acoustically for a while now, what’s your favourite cover you’ve done and why?

My favorite to do is ‘Promised Land’ the Elvis Presley version providing I don’t forget the words! Love the energy I can get out of that

How could you describe your new single in 3 words?
