Montreal, QC @ L’Esco

After opener Hannah Cole blessed the tiny L’esco stage with her ethereal indie pop tunes, the crowd was warmed up and ready to see Annie DiRusso’s first show in Montreal.

Although this venue is small (but cozy), DiRusso’s fans did not disappoint. They filled up the dance floor and were ready to head bang and dance, which they did indeed.

The three piece band wore matching homemade dress lengthen shirts, incapsulating how much of a team they are (and it was just adorable). Following the band, DiRusso took the stage and the audience got even louder. Their set commenced with “Emerson”, off of her latest project God, I Hate This Place, which was quickly followed by her popular track “Nauseous”.

Throughout the forty minute set, DiRusso shared intimate stories with the audience and played her upbeat alt/rock tunes. One thing is for certain, which is that the energy and love between crowd and performers was felt.
