After his debut release of the rock and roll anthem “Get Out”, Picture The Scene is back with yet another rock tune that will shake you to your core, in a good way. The first single from the indie artist caught the attention of many music listeners, as well as some big name music websites and radio shows, which made him one to watch throughout the year, and now he’s back with “DIY”.

In Lewis Speirs’ words; ‘“Get Out” dealt with much bigger issues, “DIY” is a far more personal track written about feelings of entrapment and wanting to run away from the real world for a little while. I had all of these thoughts and feelings of being stuck and under pressure which is probably why “DIY” sounds like such an explosive release of all of that emotion. The funny thing is that all of that pressure was mostly self-inflicted and so I suppose “DIY” was my way of figuring all of these ideas out in my own head and hey, it just so happens that a cracking song has come out of that whole experience as a result so that was helpful!’

Just like the artist we know and love, Speirs continues to give us yet more powerful guitar riffs, and intriguing vocals. Although at a first listen, the single may seem a little overwhelming for some people who aren’t that into rock music, but for those people- the more you listen to it, the better it gets. And for the music listeners who love heavy guitar, Picture The Scene’s new tune is one you should check out, and the artist himself is one to watch. This won’t be the last you see of Speirs, because he’ll be releasing his debut EP this summer, stay tuned.
