mxmtoon Releases ‘Life Is Strange’.

True colors is all I can think of since the release of this EP. mxmtoon once again got us in the feels with the  beautiful harmonies and true raw lyrics in it. Starting ‘in the darkness’ set, in my opinion, a great scene to start the dark deep feelings in this body of work. ‘Creep’ing in with more intentional sad lyrics, ‘creep’ is a masterpiece. Touching on the idea of things that we all sometimes think but can't speak out loud, “I don’t care if it hurts I want to have control,’ ‘a perfect body’ ‘a perfect soul’. I am not sure you but I’ve definitely identified with this feeling sometimes, and I think there was no better way to do this than in the brilliant, dark pop production that the song has. Spread throughout the entirety of the EP. ‘Blister in the sun’ has this simplicity of moving on, letting go of a memory of someone like a blister in the sun. And to close with ‘every way’, was just magnificent to fortify that idea of moving forward, getting through all the memories, specially the sad ones, the past ones that used to mean something, and to be brave of the unknown and scary, to take every wave. So I recommend if you haven’t checked out true colors, that you take your favorite blankie and go on the corner of your most comfy couch, get yo teddy bear and tonight, in the dark you listen to this wonderful piece of art that mxmtoon shared with us <3
