Marinelli Releases “Oh God”.

Frizzy bend comes in distorted waves, getting lost in the jaggedly clanging overdrive. Marinelli’s voice seems overly calm in the middle of this massive, overwhelming chaos. ‘This song is about feeling intense emotions that you know you should let simmer before expressing,’ said Marinelli.
Past and present blurring the vision, overthinking seizes the flooded emotions. One dose of overwhelming mixes with two doses of helplessness and frustration, poured into the stainless shaker of heartbreak. Somehow down the throat, it evolves into this complex taste of everything but nothing.
“OH GOD” is the kind of song that makes you feel everything and nothing, like the pause between an end and a beginning. You reflect on everything, but you know it doesn’t matter anymore. Then you start thinking about the future. Everything is just a huge mess, but you go back to your routine, and nothing has really changed.
“The song came to be when I was sitting in the parking lot of the LA court where I was doing jury duty. I was feeling pretty upset about something in my life and I hated that feeling of ‘sitting in my car’ and feeling sorry for myself without driving or getting out,” said Marinelli.
Starting out as Billie Eilish’s drummer, Marinelli soon earned his place as one of the hottest upcoming artists to watch with his dreamy, woozy production. The artist started flying solo last year with “Turtleneck Sweater,” and “Candy Cigarettes.” “OH GOD” is one step closer to his debut album, which surely is highly anticipated.
