It feels like a breezy afternoon spending time with your favorite person in the world. Mauri Tapia perfectly captures the heartwarming moment of falling in love with his new track, “It’s Got to Be You.” Being described as the “best jamming track” by fans, the lighthearted, groovy single released on 23 March soon becomes what everybody jams and hums about. 

‘It had to be you, no one else can have my heart; it’s got to be you; it feels so right to have you in my arms.’ Happiness always sounds a little silly yet speaks the truth in life. Being a new parent is one of the happiest memories in life. The first time meeting your newborn baby and holding him in your arms are those powerful moments that forever change your perspective.  

In between a strong Delegation vibe bassline, Tapia’s singing has the charm to make any sad person smile again. The songwriting seems effortless, yet the SunDrop vibe catches up like a conversation with an old friend you haven’t seen for years. 

Starting as a singer-songwriter based out of his family’s living room, recording on an old four-track, the early tracks soon gain momentum throughout the internet. The hit single “Someone To Spend Time With” released in 2019 already has over 30 million streams. In 2020, the artist introspected on his vulnerable side, and he comes back in 2021 with newfound happiness.  

‘In my songs, I’m just trying to make a beautiful three-to-six minute moment that makes you feel more positive about life,’ said Tapia.
