Inhaler Releases “Cheer Up Baby”.
Written by: Devyn Browne
Dublin’s Inhaler is back with their biggest release yet. The indie-rock quartet, consisting of vocalist and guitarist Elijah Hewson, bassist Robert Keating, guitarist Josh Jenkinson, and drummer Ryan McMahon, debuted their latest single “Cheer Up Baby” on March 17th on BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record In The World. The single drop was also accompanied by a music video just hours later, an appearance on the Late Late Show with James Corden that night, and -- perhaps the most exciting piece -- the announcement of their highly anticipated debut album, “It Won’t Always Be Like This”, due on July 16th.
A fan favorite that has been played at all of their live gigs, “Cheer Up Baby” is the indie rock anthem we all need right now. It may be an ode to their fans, but anyone can relate to the lyrics about dealing with mental health issues and wanting to feel less alone. “Cheer Up Baby” can bring comfort to anyone through its lyrics, but can just as easily get people up on their feet and dancing along. The whole song is immersive, and it’ll have you hooked by the first listen. This track is just one in a long line of Inhaler’s singles that prove that they are the future of alternative.
Inhaler’s debut album, It Won’t Always Be Like This, is out July 16th via Polydor Records.
