Following an amazing year, Conan Gray is back with his new single “Overdrive”.
After his successful debut album Kid Krow, the Texan pop singer is showing us with this current release that he is here to stay.
The track gives off dreamy vibes and since the start we can feel an upbeat tempo and melody that will last for the whole duration of the song. With it being very catchy, the music is not easily forgettable.
Conan’s powerful voice compliments the tune and it makes the lyrics really sink in.
The songs tells us a story about a one-night love. The storytelling almost makes us feel part of this young and careless feeling between two people. When the chorus hits, a picture of driving a car at night is perfectly drawn.
Conan Gray does an outstanding job at matching his vocals to the beautiful scenery he created, making “Overdrive” a perfect comeback for the singer.
