Apollo! Releases “Good Girl!”.

Apollo!’s new emo/hip hop single “Good Girl!” is a swaying ballad about the artist trying to stop thinking about someone. It starts with tender-sounding notes before introducing a simple, easygoing beat. He emphasizes melody over the rhythm, by doing so showcasing his layered, braided vocals. The chorus features his warbly, layered singing, along with an electronic flourish, in a way that conveys the longing in the song. It’s not as catchy or creative as some of his previous work, like the track “Trauma,” and in some ways feels more like a lead up to something than like a standalone single.
