Relationships Can’t be Sweet but Abby Huston’s Newest Single is.

Let’s face it; sometimes relationships can suck, and sometimes they aren’t as unbelievably good as they seem to be. Maybe you’re thinking to yourself ‘I’m the problem here, I’m not good at being in a relationship’. With a lyric like ‘maybe I see the worst in things’, Abby Huston’s new song is inspired by that situation exactly.

Produced by Cameron Smith (not kevin), “Can’t Be Sweet” is their first release since they put out their album Rich, which was made with many different musicians that Huston met throughout her musical journey in Richmond. Abby Huston’s new song has the same cozy effect to it, but has a unique brass instrument tune playing throughout the two and a half minutes.

The song starts off with a muffled first verse which then turns into a satisfying part of the song with a snap of a finger. And all throughout the tune, more instruments and cool sounds appear, making the song so simple but so unique. If there’s one thing I could critic on; it would be that “Can’t Be Sweet” is just too short - it left me wanting more and will totally have the same impact to everyone who listens to it.
