Glasgow, Scotland @ SWG3

Opening the show tonight are Welsh goth rockers The Nightmares.

With the venue rapidly filling as they come on, they are a good choice to get the crowd warmed up for tonight's gig.

New single "Cruelly Yours" is catchy, giving off vibes of very early My Chemical Romance. Their full set goes down well with the now near full room.

The Nightmares will be back here again in March next year, so that's one to put in your diary!

With tonight's headliners Kids In Glass Houses having recently reformed, the PA plays snippets of lots of songs all about being away and then coming back again, before the band burst on stage and kick in to their 2008 album "Smart Casual" - this tour being a 15th Anniversary Celebration of that record.

The opening salvo of "Fisticuffs", "Easy Tiger" and "Give Me What I Want" is enough to send the room in to an absolute frenzy, before "Saturday" just takes things up another level - with the crowd in full voice for the majority of the song.

We get some tracks, namely "Girls", which haven't been played live in about 14 years, which is an absolute treat for the dedicated fanbase who are all here.

In "Good Boys Gone Rad" during the breakdown, the full crowd chants back the "Play D.E.A.D - it's easy" section, with frontman Aled Phillips having us change it to "A.L.E.D" before commenting "so much ego!"

"Raise Hell" again sees the full crowd take over for the intro, before the album section of the set is closed off with "Church Tongue".

We're then treated to more of the hits from the bands other albums, with "Sunshine", "Lilli Rose" (the crowd again taking over vocal duties) and set closers "Youngblood" and "Matters At All" rounding things off perfectly.

Tonight's Glasgow show is the first of the tour, so if you get a chance to catch them on this run - make sure you take it!
