It was Saturday night at The Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale, and Joywave's show made us feel like we were there for more than just any Saturday night concert. Their concept for this tour, called the Cleanse Tour, was a nostalgic trip to the car wash, peeking out of your parents' car and looking at the big machines while they spin around and soap the car. Music is probably coming from the radio, and in this case, the soundtrack to this trip is Joywave. With the back of a car (with a Clibbus license plate) on stage, complete with two "brushes" and the members in car mechanic-like jumpsuits, we were in for a ride (no pun intended).
Clibbus
Just before they went was Clibbus, a comedian whose act consisted of jokes, taking out a piece of measuring tape and measuring the venue, and tossing fruit to the audience. Following him was Joe P, a singer-songwriter from New Jersey, who set the vibe for the night with some alternative music, accompanied by his guitarist and drummer.

Our night at the car wash started with their 2021 single "Cyn city 2000", followed by "Buy Dimension", "It's a Trip!", "Obsession", and "After Coffee". They weaved through their discography, not forgetting to include songs from their 2020 album "Possession" since they did not get to tour for that album cycle. They included songs from side projects like Daniel Armbruster's side project Best Frenz, like "Ugly Ending". The encore consisted of "tongues" and "Dangerous (the Big Data song they're featured on) before ending with "Destruction". It was a night to remember, and the most fun car wash in a long time.
