The Walters Release ‘Try Again EP’ (+ Interview).

The Walters. Sounds like a 60’s swoon boy band, right?

Wrong. Although, their music roots from being inspired by the likes of The Beach Boys, and they do match outfits most of the time.

Drummer and co-producer of The Walters, Charlie Ekhaus says, “We started making music and developed this sound that was heavily influenced by 60’s/70’s music, and then it felt like natural instinct.”

The Chicago quintet just released their new EP, Try Again. The six track project features singles “Million Little Problems”, and the popular “I Love You So”. On this project, the band also experimented with different tempo changes and arrangements.

“The hardest track to make was “Black Moon”. It was hard to navigate a tempo change, because all of our songs before this one had been straight forward. It was a bit tricky to make it feel right.”

In the end, though, the experiments went really well. If you were making TikTok videos to “I Love You So” last year, you should check in on The Walters, and listen to Try Again.
