Indie-pop band, Silk Tonic, and alt-pop band, The Free Label, collaborate to release “In the Afternoon,” and it’s the perfect mid-summer addition to include in your ‘summer nights at the beach’ playlists.
Roughly two seconds into the song Silk Tonic treats us with this stunning little guitar sequence, and honestly I’ve never restarted a song so quickly just to hear an intro again. Needless to say, this song is spicy.
This is one of those songs that just makes you wanna dance, party, and make poor decisions.
Both Silk Tonic and The Free Label stand out to me as emerging, strong, genre-bending bands with their own unique sounds. I recommend checking out both group’s music, their talents truly speak for themselves.
