Gearing up towards the release of her new EP Bravado, releasing on March 9th, morgen is here with the last instalment “Sick of Me”.
Throughout the releases of the EP’s singles, we’ve heard morgen head in the directions of fun indie pop, emotional indie pop, loud alt/rock, and now she’s here with her angsty indie pop track. “Sick of Me” is as if morgen switched bodies with Avril Lavigne for a day or two, and it is everything we didn’t know we wanted.
morgen said, “’Sick of Me’ is 100% teenage rage and self-loathing. I wrote this song whilst in the middle of breaking up with a friend, which left me feeling really vulnerable. I was so annoyed at myself for letting our friendship carry on the way it had been, and I hated who I was at the time. It was a really tense and heated time for me, but luckily I got one of my favorite songs out of it!”
