Liv Waters Breaks Pop Barriers With Her New Single [Q&A].
Written by: Sarah Evangelista
The pop artist from New York, Liv Waters, has come back with yet again another amazing single. This song proves that Liv could kill the definition of pop, by doing things her own way.
"To me, this song this song crosses a bridge into a new era and then 'burns' that bridge behind me."
Like I said before, the singer usually makes more of country songs, which she definitely loves to do, but isn't so looked upon to nowadays. Liv moved more toward the genre of pop, but made a very fantastic song out of it. Also, she came up with this song all on her own, which just goes to show of how much she can do!
"Bridges is special because not only have written and produced it, but I made Bridges sorely on my own from start to finish. While it might not be perfect, this song is a masterpiece and special in its own way."
You can make different meanings of the song to your own stories, but to her, 'Bridges' is about "losing friends and people you love because they don't like who you are." Liv explains; "I got to the point where I was hiding behind a mask of a perfect girl because I felt like I had to please everyone. I finally started to accepting myself and when I thought my peers would be proud, they started stabbing me in the back. I got to a place where I was like 'go ahead and leave, I don't even care. Go ahead and swing, hit me even. I'm numb and I have no more bridges left to burn.' And those that I said to myself in my head became the song 'Bridges'."
"I hope that this song helps people realize that it's more important to take a risk and be the person that they feel like they need to be, even if it burns bridges, because your happiness is more than worth it."
