L Devine Releases ‘Near Life Experience Part One’.

If you’re anything like me, you probably love music that slaps you in the face with its honesty. That’s exactly what you’ll get from Near Life Experience Part One, the third EP by UK alt-pop songstress L Devine.
In the opening track and most recent single “Priorities”, Devine tells the story of a relationship with a partner who is less focused on her as she is on them. This feeling of being under appreciated is a theme that is echoed throughout a majority of the songs well into the second half of the EP. The one exception to this is the third track, “Be In Her Bedroom”. A lyrical standout of the EP, the absolute sweetness of the lyrics will have you falling for the subject of the song.
Making a swift escape from the theme of under appreciation, the EP closes with sex anthems “Naked Alone” and “Girls Like Sex”. “Naked Alone” is the perfect song for a lonely night where all you need is someone to do the dirty with. “Girls Like Sex” continues that desire for sex and drenches it with empowerment.
If you’re looking for a release that will turn your bedroom into a dancefloor, Near Life Experience Part One is going to be your new favourite EP. With Part One out now, it’s only a matter of time before we get more music from L Devine.
