UK chillout band Kinobe has once again captured the hearts of music enthusiasts with their latest single, 'Falling Star’. The single serves as a mesmerizing preview of their forthcoming album, Over The Horizon, set to be released on August 4.

Kinobe, formed in West London in 1998 by childhood friends Julius Waters and Mark "Blackie" Blackburn, embarked on a musical odyssey that has spanned over two decades. The band's unique fusion of retro influences, including soul, funk, blues, jazz, and R&B, set the foundation for their mesmerizing sound. Their debut album, 'Soundphiles', released in 2001, showcased their innovative approach to chillout music.

However, it was their seminal single, 'Slip Into Something More Comfortable', that propelled Kinobe into the limelight. The song, featuring a sample from Engelbert Humperdinck, became a chillout classic, embraced by fans and licensed for numerous compilations, soundtracks, and TV commercials. Despite lineup changes, founding member Julius Waters has remained the driving force behind Kinobe, delivering captivating albums that continue to push the boundaries of the genre.

Kinobe's latest single, 'Falling Star', transports listeners into a sonic reverie with its enchanting composition. The track effortlessly combines crisp, strummed guitar melodies with cinematic violins, painting a sepia-toned soundscape that feels like a film score from a bygone era. With soaring string lines, funky baselines, and sprinkles of stardust, 'Falling Star' encapsulates the classic Kinobe sound.

Kinobe describe the inspiration behind the track, saying, "When I wrote this song, I was imagining what might be playing on the jukebox while J.J. Cale, John Barry, and Percy Faith play poker in the bar of a formerly splendid but now run-down hotel somewhere down a forgotten desert highway as the colors of the sunset revive its faded glory."
