Sudbury, Ont. based Singer/ songwriter Ashley Woodruff recently released her new album Distanced October 10, 2020, and this tune is the opening track. Since the album release, Woodruff has put out a music video for the lead track “Taking My Heart Back”.
The three minute track gives listeners a heartfelt story of being in a bad relationship, one where your significant other wasn’t who you thought they were. And learning that you’re worth more than how you’re being treated. The track reminds listeners to love themselves and take back their heart.
