Mondays are typical. (I’m hoping) you don’t look forward to them, and they’re your least favourite day of the week. Back to the old routine sorta thing.

However, almost monday is a completely different story. They’re an alt/pop trio based in San Diego, and they bring nothing but joy when you listen to their music. almost monday is a band you look forward to hearing, and dancing around to their music.

Their whole music catalog is amazing, from their debut release “broken people”, to their most recent single “hailey beebs”, almost monday will leave a smile on your face, no matter what. That’s just the impact they have on people.

“We started a band just to play live music - we just thought it would be a sick thing to write some songs and play live for our friends, and whatnot. It just kept getting bigger and bigger, and the more I looked I realized this is a bigger and bigger part of our lives. After we got signed, and when we were going in our junior year, and Dawson was going into his senior year, we were like “I guess this is it”! Then we just kind of made the big move, and stopped school and started music full time. It’s been really cool to watch and see it grow.”

Being a fan of almost monday for years now, thanks to Spotify’s Discover Weekly, seeing them grow has been a proud mom moment. The group has slots at festivals like Bonnaroo this year, have toured with names like AJR, and I just can’t wait to see the trio take over the world with their feel good music.
